WEEK 2
One week down, only three more to go! Just wanted to post a few reminders for today. If you want your 10 bonus points, make sure and enter your weekly total in the link provided on the right side of this page. If you got all your points + the weekly challenge + entering in your points today = you should have a total of 510 points. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. The challenge last week was to read a nutritional/health/fitness article. I loved hearing what other people read and what they learned from it.
Week 2 Bonus Challenge
This week I thought it would be good to focus on the positive things that we are accomplishing. Too often we beat ourselves up for making one bad choice in a day, when the rest of the day we did great. If you want the bonus points for this week you will need to do the following. Every night you will need to write down 2 positive things you did that day. For example: if you exercised 30 minutes instead of 20, if you chose to eat a small french fry instead of a large one, if you drank water instead of soda. Anything positive will count! It is the small changes that we make everyday that will make a big difference in the end.
The article I chose to read for the last challenge was about being organized so you can be successful in your health goals. There was one paragraph that went right along with this week's challenge and I wanted to share it with you.
"Silence the negative voice in your head. Instead of reacting like a self-critic, can you talk to yourself like you would a friend—with patience, compassion and enthusiasm for the hard work you are undertaking? Henry Ford said, ''Whether you think you can or you can’t, you are right.'' Listen carefully to the messages you give yourself and change the negative ones into more positive mantras."
-10 Ways to Get Organized for Weight Loss by Ellen G. Goldman (SparkPeople)
So let's start thinking positive thoughts about the good things we are accomplishing everyday.
Great Bonus for this week!
